David Hendrix Appointed to the Boy Scouts of America

David S. Hendrix (Ranney '89), shareholder in the Tampa office of GrayRobinson, P.A., was recently appointed to the Boy Scouts of America Southern Region Board of Directors and vice president of council operations for the state of Florida for the Boy Scouts of America. In this role, Hendrix will work with the operations teams from all eight Florida Councils and represent Florida on the Southern Region Board which runs from Texas to the District of Columbia. Hendrix previously served as president of the Gulf Ridge Council from 2008-2010.
Hendrix serves as chair of the firm’s banking & finance practice group and focuses his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, banking, class action defense and regulatory law. The AV-rated attorney has been involved with more than 100 jury trials throughout the state of Florida representing large financial institutions, businesses and state and local government entities. In addition, Hendrix has co-authored articles and lectured on the topics of banking litigation, slander of credit litigation, the legal rights of Florida citizens and the Consumer Collections Practice Act.
Hendrix is actively involved in both professional and community organizations. He holds memberships to The Florida Bar and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. In addition to serving on the Boy Scouts of America Gulf Ridge Council Board of Directors for more than 15 years, Hendrix is a member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on their board of directors.
Hendrix is a graduate of Leadership Florida, Class XXV and earned his juris doctorate at Case Western Reserve University and received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.
