David Hendrix elected President of the State of Florida for the Boy Scouts

David Hendrix (Ranney '89), a shareholder in the Tampa office of GrayRobinson, P.A., was recently elected by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America to serve as the President of the State of Florida for the Boy Scouts. Hendrix will continue to serve on the Board and Executive Committee for the Southern Region of the Boy Scouts of America. Hendrix is the past President of the BSA’s Gulf Ridge Council in Central Florida. For his distinguished service Hendrix received the Silver Beaver Award in 2008 and is an Eagle Scout.

Hendrix serves as Chairman of the firm’s Banking & Finance practice group and focuses his practice in the area of commercial litigation, banking litigation, class action defense and bank regulatory law. Hendrix is an AV-rated attorney and named as a Florida "Super Lawyer” in 2007. In addition, Hendrix authored articles, treatises and frequently lectures on the topics of banking litigation, slander of credit litigation, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, FCRA and lender liability. Hendrix was featured on the cover of America Lawyer Magazine in June, 2010.

Hendrix is a graduate of Leadership Florida, Class XXV and earned his juris doctorate at Case Western Reserve University and received his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University.
