About Friends of Public Radio Arizona
FPRAZ is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) established in 2001 by Valley community leaders to increase awareness and funds for member supported public radio stations KJZZ 91.5 FM and KBAQ 89.5 FM., which are a community service of Rio Salado College's Division of Public Service. KJZZ features local and National Public Radio news, light entertainment, jazz and blues—serving approximately 240,500 weekly listeners. KBAQ is the Valley’s only classical music station and serves approximately 190,000 weekly listeners. FPRAZ raises funds to finance new programs and initiatives that the stations cannot because of staff limitations, budget constraints or other restrictions. FPRAZ raises funds through individual gifts, grants, special programs and events. For more information, visit fpraz.org, kjzz.org and kbaq.org.
