International Inn of the Year Guidelines & Application
 

Phi Delta Phi sponsors an annual INTERNATIONAL INN OF THE YEAR competition to choose the outstanding Student Inn of Phi Delta Phi for the academic year. The Council has identified and assigned a maximum point total to five separate criteria that will be considered in making the annual award:

A. Academic Excellence

25 Points

B. Inn Activities

25 Points

C. Individual Member Achievement

25 Points

D. Single Project Award

10 Points

E. Improvement

15 Points

 

100 Points

The Province Selection Committee shall also make recommendations -- if appropriate -- to the Court of Appeals of any Inns worthy of consideration for Certificate of Merit awards.

The link to download the "International Inn of the Year" Application is available at the end of these guidelines. The Magister of each Inn is responsible for seeing that the form is completed and emailed to Headquarters at info@phideltaphi.org. ENTRIES MUST BE EMAILED NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 7 TO BE CONSIDERED. Headquarters will notify Province Presidents, who will then select one Inn as the Province winner and immediately notify Headquarters of the selection NO LATER THAN MARCH 7. Thereafter, the Court of Appeals will select one Inn as "International Inn of The Year.”

The Magister may assign responsibility -- at his or her discretion -- for compiling the requested information to another Inn Officer or to a Committee of Inn members, but the Magister alone bears the responsibility for ensuring that the email deadline is observed.

The International Inn of the Year will receive recognition and a specialty Inn of the Year Certificate.
