|How To: Checklist|
1. List of the petitioning members (no minimum members required)
Upon receipt of the duly executed Petition and supporting materials, the Executive Director will present the Petition for Charter to the Council of the Society for consideration. Normally, a decision will be made within five (5) business days provided that the submission is complete and in compliance with all constitutional requirements. The Executive Director will notify the Colony’s contact person as soon as a decision on the Petition has been reached. Upon approval of the Petition, the members of the new Hall should immediately hold an election for Hall Officers and schedule a formal chartering and initiation ceremony.
It is important to remember that Headquarters can answer any question that may arise in connection with the chartering of a new Student Hall. We invite you to study hard, make the grade, and DISTINGUISH YOURSELF by starting a chapter of Phi Delta Phi at your school!
*Note: Petitioning member(s) will register online under the "Pre-Law Society" group. Once their Hall is officially chartered, the petitioning member(s) will be added to their official Hall and their Hall Group Page will be created.
