We are always proud to feature our Inns and Halls and we could not be more proud to share Magister Donna Butler and Penn State University Hall's project on the three branches of government in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania!

Magister Donna Butler was able to get a representative from each branch of the state’s government to address the Phi Delta Phi's Penn State University Hall members and Penn State's World Campus Law & Society majors via Zoom Video Communications.

The Honorable Brian Marshall, a judge from the Centre County Court of Common Pleas, represented the judicial branch and addressed the students on April 4, 2018. I interviewed Representative Carol Hill-Evans from District 95 in York County on April 13, 2018, and she spoke on behalf of the legislative branch. Lastly, Deputy General Counsels Marisa Lehr and Jennifer Whare from Pennsylvania’s Office of General Counsel will give a presentation about the executive branch on December 3, 2018.

All representatives gave overviews of their branch of government, discussed their roles within the branch, and the qualifications to hold such an office. The representatives also offered advice to students who wish to pursue legal careers in state government.

Keep up the amazing work, we could not be more proud to have the Penn State University Hall part of our Pre-Law Society!
