The Justices of the Phi Delta Phi Court of Appeals have reached a decision in the 2012 Graduate and Inn of the Year Competitions.

The 2012 J. Will Pless International Graduate of the Year is Nadia Sofia Segura Narvaez from García Rendón Inn at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiorers de Monterrey - Campus Monterrey.

As the 2012 Graduate of the Year, Nadia will receive a cash prize of $3,000USD and an invitation to attend Phi Delta Phi's 60th General Convention in Washington, DC later this year as a guest of the Fraternity.

The 2012 International Inn of the Year is Pinckney Inn at Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina.

This is Pinckney Inn's second year in a row to win the award.  A copy of the Pinckney Inn award application will be available to download under the Members Only Area. As the 2012 Inn of the Year, Pinckney Inn will receive a cash prize of $500USD.

For Outstanding Achievements in the Single Project category, the Justices recognize Harding Inn at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida for the Inn's Good Grades Boot Camp. Harding Inn will receive a cash prize of $100USD.

The Good Grades Boot Camp is geared towards first year students prior to their mid-term examinations. This is a daylong event and all of the proceeds go to the Sulzbacher Center, a homeless shelter in Jacksonville, Florida. Approximately 150 first year students participated in this event. Students were given breakfast and lunch for their participation as well as the opportunity to win raffle prizes throughout the day.

The event is a fundraiser for the Sulzbacher Center but also focuses on academic excellence and introducing new law students to the types of testing that they will be subjected to. Professors from each of the core disciplines (contracts, criminal law, property and torts) speak to the students about key concepts and give the students examples of the types of multiple choice and essay questions they will see during an exam.

As a result of this event, Harding Inn raised $1500 for the Sulzbacher Center. Harding Inn donated $1000 to the Center's annual fundraiser, Transformations, which collects funds for the general upkeep of their expansive facility. The remaining $500 supported a dinner that PDP members also helped prepare and served 500 people.

Congratulations to our winners!
