International Inn of the Year Award

Phi Delta Phi sponsors an annual INTERNATIONAL INN OF THE YEAR competition to choose the outstanding Student Inn of Phi Delta Phi for the academic year.

ELIGIBILITY:

The Council has identified and assigned a maximum point total to five separate criteria that will be considered in making the annual award:

A. Academic Excellence

25 Points

B. Inn Activities

25 Points

C. Individual Member Achievement

25 Points

D. Single Project Award

10 Points

E. Improvement

15 Points

 

100 Points

INN GUIDELINES:

The Magister of each Inn is responsible for seeing that the form is submitted between January 15 and March 1. The Magister may assign responsibility -- at his or her discretion -- for compiling the requested information to another Inn Officer or to a Committee of Inn members.

Please submit the application and accompanying materials using the application form found above.  Applicants may contact Headquarters by telephone or email to verify receipt and completeness of the application.  It shall be the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that Headquarters has received his or her application and all required materials as described herein.

PROVINCE PRESIDENT GUIDELINES:

Headquarters will notify and forward any submitted materials to the Province Presidents. Each Province President will select the Province winner from the entries submitted. The Province President will immediately notify Headquarters of one Province winner no later than March 15.

SELECTION PROCESS:

The Court of Appeals will select one Inn as "International Inn of The Year” who best exhibited the attributes of Phi Delta Phi. The winner will be announced to ensure an opportunity for Inns and law school administrations to give adequate publicity to the award and its recipient.

 The International Inn of the Year will receive recognition and a specialty Inn of the Year Certificate.
